Juicy shrimp cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce with the perfect touch of spice. A quick and flavorful seafood recipe perfect for lunch or dinner.
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with paprika, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and lightly golden. Remove from the skillet.
Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce.
Add lemon juice and fresh parsley, then stir well.
Serve immediately with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
Do not overcook the shrimp or they may become rubbery. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper and chili flakes.
