Ingredients

2 large English cucumbers, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cherry tomatoes, halved (optional garnish)
Everything bagel seasoning or paprika (optional garnish)

Instructions

Wash and dry the cucumbers thoroughly.
Slice the cucumbers into thick rounds and arrange them on a serving platter.
In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), lemon juice, dill, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Mix until smooth and creamy.
Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off.
Pipe a small swirl of the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice.
Garnish with cherry tomato halves, fresh herbs, or a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning if desired.
Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

English cucumbers work best because they have fewer seeds and a crisp texture.
Prepare the cream cheese mixture up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate.
Add smoked salmon for an elegant appetizer variation.
Use whipped cream cheese for an extra light texture.
Best served fresh on the day of preparation.
