Warm and soothing 20 min Healing Broth Soup made with garlic, ginger, turmeric, and herbs. A light, nourishing clear soup perfect for boosting wellness and comfort.
For the Soup:
1 garlic clove, peeled and roughly chopped
1 inch fresh ginger, roughly chopped
½ inch fresh turmeric (or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder)
2½ cups water
2½ cups broth (vegetable, chicken, or preferred)
1 bay leaf
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Pinch of salt, to taste
⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
2–3 sage leaves (fresh or dried)
5 juniper berries
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro (optional)
Juice of ½ lime or lemon
Garnish:
Fresh cilantro or other herbs (parsley, chives)
Prepare ingredients by peeling and roughly chopping garlic, ginger, and turmeric.
In a small pot, combine water and broth over medium heat.
Add garlic, ginger, and turmeric to the pot.
Add bay leaf, black pepper, salt, nutmeg, sage, and juniper berries.
Stir in cilantro if using.
Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
Remove from heat and stir in fresh lime or lemon juice.
Strain the broth using a fine-mesh strainer for a clear soup.
Return to heat if needed and serve warm.
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
