Ingredients

½ cup butter
9 cups marshmallows
8 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
1 cup vanilla wafers

Instructions

Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
In a large stockpot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and immediately add the crispy rice cereal.
Gently fold until all the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Using a lightly greased spatula or parchment paper, gently press the mixture into an even layer without compacting it too firmly.
Allow the Rice Krispie treats to cool for a few minutes.
Lightly crush the freeze-dried strawberries and vanilla wafers.
Sprinkle the crushed strawberries and vanilla wafers evenly over the top.
Let the treats cool completely before slicing into squares.
Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Do not press the mixture too firmly into the pan, as this can make the treats dense and hard.
Freeze-dried strawberries provide intense strawberry flavor without adding moisture.
For extra strawberry flavor, mix a portion of the crushed strawberries directly into the cereal mixture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
These treats are perfect for birthday parties, baby showers, and summer gatherings.
