Ingredients

450 g ground chicken
100 g fresh spinach, finely chopped
60 g white cheddar cheese, shredded
25 g breadcrumbs
40 g onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
15 ml Dijon mustard
5 ml Worcestershire sauce
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Olive oil, for cooking
4 burger buns
Lettuce leaves (optional)
Tomato slices (optional)
Additional white cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until evenly combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 1.5 cm thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease with olive oil.
Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 75°C).
Remove patties from heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
Assemble burgers by placing patties on buns and adding lettuce, tomato, and extra cheese if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overmixing to keep burgers tender and juicy.
The indentation helps prevent the patties from puffing up while cooking.
You can grill these burgers instead of pan-cooking for extra flavor.
Swap breadcrumbs with oats or gluten-free crumbs if needed.
