Ingredients

3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced (about 1 pint)
2 cups water
1 cup sugar

For the Tea:

10 regular tea bags
3 cups water
1 cup sugar

Additional:

¼ cup lemon juice (about 1 medium lemon)
68 cups water (after combining)

Optional Garnish:

Lemon slices
Strawberry slices

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and 2 cups of water.
Heat over medium-high, stirring until the mixture comes to a boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 20–30 minutes.
Strain the mixture, discarding the strawberries, and set the strawberry syrup aside.

Prepare the Tea:
5. Steep tea bags in 3 cups of hot water for 5–10 minutes.
6. Remove tea bags and stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved.

Combine:
7. In a large pitcher, combine brewed tea and strawberry syrup.
8. Add lemon juice and stir well.
9. Pour in 6–8 cups of additional water to dilute to taste.

Serve:
10. Chill thoroughly and serve over ice with lemon and strawberry slices if desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing sugar to taste.
For stronger strawberry flavor, mash strawberries while simmering.
Use green tea for a lighter variation.
Best served chilled over ice.
