Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

3/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup water

3 tsp brown sugar

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp mustard

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp salt

12 oz refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

Cook Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.

Make Sloppy Joe Sauce: Stir in ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.

Mix with Biscuits: In a large bowl, combine meat mixture with quartered biscuits. Gently toss to coat.

Assemble Casserole: Spread mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly on top.

Bake: Bake for 28–30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Add chopped bell peppers or onions with the beef for extra flavor.

Swap ketchup for BBQ sauce for a smokier twist.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
