Ingredients

  • 12 Oreo cookies, crushed (plus more for topping)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • 6 chocolate taco shells or chocolate-dipped tortilla shells
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle or shell coating)
  • 12 tbsp milk (to help melt chocolate if needed)
  • Whipped cream or chocolate sauce, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in crushed Oreos, then fold in whipped topping until fluffy. Set aside.
  2. If making your own taco shells: Bake soft flour tortillas draped over the oven rack at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes until crisp. Let cool. Dip edges in melted chocolate if desired and let set.
  3. Spoon or pipe the Oreo filling into each taco shell.
  4. Top with more crushed Oreos and gently press them into the filling.
  5. Drizzle with melted chocolate or top with whipped cream. Add extra toppings like sprinkles or mini chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Chill for 15–30 minutes before serving for firmer filling, or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use peanut butter Oreos or Nutella in the filling for a twist.
  • Greek yogurt can be used in place of cream cheese for a lighter version.
  • Dip taco edges in sprinkles or mini chocolate chips for extra flair.
  • Best enjoyed the same day—shells may soften if stored too long.
  • To make gluten-free, use gluten-free sandwich cookies and taco shells.
