Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 12 oz uncooked pasta (penne, rotini, or your choice)
  • 3 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and onion; sauté until fragrant and soft.
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Add uncooked pasta and beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed (about 10–15 minutes).
  6. Reduce heat; add heavy cream and stir until well combined.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use short pasta like penne or rotini for best results.
  • Add more broth or cream if sauce becomes too thick.
  • Can substitute ground beef with sausage or turkey.
  • Spinach, mushrooms, or red pepper flakes make great additions.
  • Freezes well; reheat gently to maintain creamy texture.
