This elegant yet easy salmon recipe brings bold garlic herb flavor in just 15 minutes—perfect for both weeknight dinners and romantic meals.
4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
Stir in thyme and oregano, letting the herbs release their aroma.
Place salmon fillets in the skillet (skin-side down if applicable).
Cook for 4–5 minutes per side, without moving too much, until golden and cooked through.
Remove from heat, let rest for 1 minute, and serve hot.
Add lemon juice or zest at the end for brightness.
For extra richness, stir in a bit of cream or butter before serving.
Add red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
To bake instead of pan-sear, cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.
Great with pasta, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat gently in a skillet with a bit of olive oil or water.
