Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon in a single layer and sear each side for 1–2 minutes until golden and nearly cooked through.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, pour in the sauce, and gently toss to coat the salmon.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the salmon is caramelized.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
  • Maple syrup can replace honey for a deeper sweetness.
  • For a crunchy texture, lightly coat salmon in cornstarch before cooking.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat gently to avoid burning the glaze.
