Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 6 oz pepperoni slices
  • 24 oz pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions until softened.
  4. Add ground beef and Italian sausage; cook until browned, then stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour in pizza sauce and add half of the pepperoni; simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  6. Toss cooked pasta with meat sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish; top with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoni slices.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
