Ingredients

1 recipe of dairy-free macaroni and cheese (without broccoli), or 1 box of your favorite mac and cheese

¼ cup beet juice (from canned beets) or 2–4 drops natural red food coloring

Note: For a pinker hue, use more beet juice or coloring. Adjust to desired vibrancy.

Instructions

Prepare Macaroni and Cheese
Cook the boxed or homemade dairy-free mac and cheese according to package or recipe directions. Leave out any optional ingredients like broccoli.

Add the Color
Once the cheese sauce is smooth and creamy, stir in beet juice or natural food coloring, starting with a small amount. Mix well and adjust until you get your desired shade of pink.

Serve and Enjoy
Spoon the bright pink mac and cheese into bowls and serve warm. This dish is best enjoyed fresh and colorful!

Notes

Beet juice adds color and a mild earthy flavor. Use food coloring if you prefer a more neutral taste.

This recipe is great for kids, Valentine’s Day, or playful themed meals.

For extra fun, top with dairy-free parmesan, heart-shaped veggies, or serve in themed bowls.
