Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or basil)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 12 tsp red pepper flakes or 1 tsp sriracha
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly oil a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Sear chicken in olive oil in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  4. In a bowl, combine crumbled feta, optional cream cheese, chopped herbs, lemon zest, and a pinch of pepper.
  5. Spread feta mixture evenly on top of each seared chicken piece.
  6. Transfer skillet or chicken to baking dish and bake for 12–15 minutes, until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and feta is lightly golden.
  7. While chicken bakes, heat honey gently and stir in red pepper flakes or sriracha until blended.
  8. Drizzle hot honey over baked chicken before serving.
  9. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.

Notes

  • Adjust hot honey spice level to taste by varying pepper flakes or sriracha amount.
  • Store extra hot honey in a jar in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts—adjust cook time as needed.
  • Omit cream cheese for a slightly less creamy topping.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables, salad, herbed rice, or crusty bread.
