Crispy on the outside, soft inside – these homemade baguettes are easy to make and perfect for any bread lover’s table.
1½ cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp instant yeast
¾ cup warm water
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
Add the warm water and stir until a soft dough forms.
Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 90 minutes.
Gently fold each corner of the dough into the center.
Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and shape into baguettes.
Let the shaped baguettes rise again for 30 minutes.
Lightly dust with flour and score the tops with a sharp knife.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden and crisp.
