Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup heavy cream (whipped) or whipped topping

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup corn syrup (or maple syrup)

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup chopped pecans (plus extra halves for garnish)

Instructions

In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gently fold in the whipped cream and spread the mixture into a serving dish to form the base.

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and cinnamon. Cook until melted and bubbly.

Stir in the chopped pecans.

Pour the warm pecan mixture over the cream cheese base.

Garnish with extra pecan halves.

Serve warm or at room temperature with dippers.

Notes

Make it ahead by preparing the cream cheese base and topping separately, then assemble before serving.

For a healthier version, use maple syrup and serve with sliced apples.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and gently reheated.
