Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional coating: chopped nuts, more fresh dill, or minced parsley

Instructions

  1. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
  4. Shape the mixture into either one large ball or several small bite-sized balls.
  5. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.
  6. Just before serving, roll in chopped nuts, extra dill, or minced parsley for garnish.

Notes

  • For a variation, replace half the dill with chopped chives or parsley.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
  • Smoked cheddar adds a deeper flavor.
  • Best served slightly softened—remove from fridge 10 minutes before serving.
