Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

2 eggs (or egg whites for lower calories)

¼ cup cocoa powder

2 tablespoons nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)

Pinch of salt

35 ml sugar-free maple syrup

1 teaspoon baking powder

Optional: sugar-free milk chocolate pieces or dark chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line or lightly grease a small baking pan.

Mash bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.

Add eggs (or egg whites) and mix well.

Stir in cocoa powder, nut butter, salt, and sugar-free maple syrup until fully combined.

Add baking powder and mix until evenly incorporated.

Fold in optional chocolate pieces, if using.

Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 15–20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool completely before slicing into 8 brownies.

Notes

Ripe bananas are key for sweetness and moisture.

Egg white swap: Use egg whites instead of whole eggs to reduce calories further.

Add-ins: Chopped nuts or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt work beautifully.

Cooling tip: Let brownies cool fully for clean, fudgy slices.
