Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), thinly sliced
  • 8 oz noodles (ramen, udon, rice noodles, or spaghetti)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  3. Season steak slices with salt and pepper, then sear in batches until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and brown sugar. Stir to combine and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Add cooked noodles and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Return steak to the pan and toss with noodles until heated through.
  8. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add stir-fried vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra bulk.
  • Use chicken, shrimp, tofu, or mushrooms as steak alternatives.
  • To reheat, use a skillet with a splash of water or soy sauce to restore sauciness.
  • Oyster sauce adds umami depth but can be swapped with Worcestershire or extra soy sauce.
  • Don’t overcook the steak—quick searing keeps it tender and juicy.
