Flaky crescent roll ups filled with seasoned beef and melted cheese, brushed with garlic butter and baked until golden and irresistible.
450 grams ground beef
½ teaspoon fine salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
60 grams diced onion
110 grams shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (225 grams) refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Prepare Oven and Baking Sheet
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Cook Beef Filling
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and diced onion. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring, until beef is fully cooked and onions are softened. Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
Incorporate Cheese
Stir the shredded cheddar cheese into the beef mixture until evenly combined.
Assemble Rollups
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place a heaping tablespoon of beef filling on the wide end of each triangle.
Form Rollups
Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the tip, enclosing the filling. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Brush with Garlic Butter
Mix melted butter with remaining garlic powder. Brush generously over the tops of each rollup.
Bake and Garnish
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
Serve
Let cool slightly and serve warm with dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch, or garlic aioli.
Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack for a flavor twist.
These rollups reheat well in the oven or air fryer.
Great served alongside a salad or soup for a full meal.
