Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F/43°C)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 34 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or more butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, beaten egg, and softened butter. Knead until a smooth, elastic dough forms.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Make garlic butter by melting butter and mixing with minced garlic and chopped parsley.
  5. Divide risen dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into balls.
  6. Place dough balls in a greased baking dish, brush with garlic butter, and let rise for another 20–30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  8. Brush baked rolls with more garlic butter and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for bold flavor or substitute with garlic powder as needed.
  • Adding cheese inside the rolls creates a gooey, savory surprise.
  • Try roasted garlic for a sweeter, milder garlic profile.
  • Make the dough ahead and refrigerate overnight for convenience.
  • Ensure yeast is fresh and milk is the right temperature for proper rising.
