Ingredients

4 cups broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)

1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Wash and thoroughly dry broccoli florets—excess moisture will prevent crisping.

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

Add broccoli and toss until evenly coated.

Sprinkle in panko, Parmesan, and lemon zest. Toss gently to coat.

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.

Arrange broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even crisping.

Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through.

For extra crispiness, cook an additional 1–2 minutes if desired.

Serve hot with optional extra Parmesan or a squeeze of lemon juice.

Notes

Make sure broccoli is fully dry before air frying for best crisp results.

Add more red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.

Can be served with dipping sauces like garlic aioli or yogurt ranch.

Easily made gluten-free with GF panko.

Perfect for healthy snacking or a fun veggie side!
