Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine

1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced

1 cup heavy cream

4 cloves fresh garlic, minced

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until lightly golden and fragrant (about 1 minute).

Add Tomatoes
Stir in diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the tomatoes to soften and release their juices.

Create the Cream Sauce
Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until the sauce is smooth and well blended.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the creamy tomato garlic sauce.

Serve
Garnish with fresh basil and optional grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes for a slight kick.

Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.

Stir in grilled chicken or shrimp for added protein.

Reserve ¼ cup pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
