Ingredients
2 chicken breasts, sliced
12 oz penne pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken slices until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add butter and sauté garlic, mushrooms, and asparagus until tender and slightly golden.
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened, then stir in Parmesan cheese.
Return cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated in the sauce.
Cook for another 1–2 minutes to blend the flavors, then serve hot.

Use reserved pasta water or extra broth to adjust sauce consistency.
