Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or oil
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • For the cinnamon swirl:
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas. Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture just until combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon for the swirl.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture on top. Repeat with remaining batter and cinnamon mixture.
  6. Gently swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
