These quick and easy cinnamon roll French toast bites are buttery, sweet, and perfect for a cozy breakfast or brunch. Ready in 15 minutes with minimal prep!
1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
3 large eggs
½ cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Butter for the pan
Optional toppings: powdered sugar, maple syrup, cream cheese frosting, chopped nuts
Prepare the Rolls:
Open the cinnamon roll can, separate the rolls, and cut each into 4 bite-sized pieces.
Make the Custard:
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
Dip the Bites:
Lightly coat each cinnamon roll piece in the custard mixture—avoid soaking too long.
Cook the Bites:
Heat a tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add coated bites in batches. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
Add Finishing Touches:
Drizzle with included icing, or dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm with maple syrup or fresh fruit, if desired.
Bake Option: Bake coated bites at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
Make-Ahead Tip: Coat bites in custard, then refrigerate until ready to cook.
Flavor Boost: Add nutmeg or cardamom to the custard for extra warmth.
Icing Substitute: Mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla if you don’t have the packet.
