Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook macaroni until al dente. Drain well.
  6. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, beef mixture, cheddar, mozzarella, and sour cream. Mix well.
  7. Transfer to prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Top with Parmesan cheese and bake for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
