Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or American cheese
  • 4 medium flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing or homemade special sauce
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the onion is soft and meat is fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them easier to fold.
  3. Spread a layer of special sauce or Thousand Island dressing over each tortilla.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, chopped pickles, seasoned beef, and shredded cheese.
  5. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll it up tightly into a wrap.
  6. Optional: Toast the wraps seam-side down in a skillet for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Slice each wrap in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Add hot sauce or jalapeños for extra spice.
  • Turn into lettuce wraps for a low-carb version.
  • Store leftover ingredients separately for best texture.
  • Reheat assembled wraps in a skillet for crispness.
