Ingredients

  • 12 Oreo cookies (Double Stuf preferred)
  • 12 Mini Oreo cookies (for wings)
  • 24 candy eyes
  • 23 tablespoons chocolate frosting or melted chocolate (for glue)
  • Optional: black licorice or pretzels for decoration

Instructions

  1. Gently twist apart mini Oreos and discard or eat the cream.
  2. Carefully break each mini Oreo cookie in half to create two wings.
  3. Take a full-size Oreo and press two broken mini Oreo halves into the cream on opposite sides to form bat wings.
  4. Use a dab of chocolate frosting or melted chocolate to attach two candy eyes on top of the Oreo.
  5. Let the bats sit for a few minutes so the frosting sets.
  6. Optionally decorate with black licorice or pretzels for added flair, then serve.

Notes

  • Use flavored or dipped Oreos for variety and extra richness.
  • Mini chocolate chips or white chocolate dots can be used instead of candy eyes.
  • Peanut butter can replace frosting for a tasty glue alternative.
  • Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
