Ingredients

  • 1 (25 oz) package frozen or refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara or pasta sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef or sausage, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and 1 cup mozzarella until smooth.

  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or basil if desired.

Notes

  • Use spinach or mushroom ravioli for variation.
  • Add red pepper flakes to sauce for spice.
  • Substitute mascarpone for cream cheese for richer flavor.
  • Add fresh spinach for nutrients and color.
  • Make vegetarian by using sautéed veggies or lentils instead of meat.
