Ingredients

2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or white bread)

2 tablespoons butter (softened)

2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your preferred cheese)

Salt to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

  2. Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread, ensuring it covers the entire surface.

  3. Place a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, then top with the second slice of bread, buttered side out.

  4. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket. If necessary, cut the sandwich in half to fit.

  5. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 4-5 minutes. After 3 minutes, flip the sandwich over to ensure even crisping. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

  6. Remove the sandwich, let it cool for a minute, and slice it in half. Serve immediately.
