Juicy chicken steak bites seasoned with Italian herbs and smoked paprika, then seared in garlic butter. This quick and easy dinner recipe is packed with flavor and ready in just minutes.
3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch bite-size pieces (about 1¼–1½ lbs total)
¾ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning blend
¾ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Season the Chicken:
Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss with Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Sear the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Cook for 3–4 minutes without stirring to develop a golden crust. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F). Remove from skillet and set aside.
Make Garlic Butter:
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
Combine & Finish:
Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to blend flavors.
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Do not overcrowd the pan — this ensures a proper sear.
For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
Great served over rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, or alongside roasted vegetables.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
