Ingredients

    • For Flour Tortillas:

    • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
    • 1/2 cup warm milk or water
    • Optional: garlic, herbs, butter for topping

 

  • For Pita Bread:
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Flour Tortillas: Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Add oil and warm water; stir to form a dough. Knead until smooth, rest 30 minutes. Divide, roll thin, and cook each on a hot skillet for 30 seconds per side.
  2. Naan Flatbread: Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix in yogurt and milk to form soft dough. Rest 1 hour. Divide, roll into ovals, and cook on a hot skillet until bubbly and golden. Brush with butter or garlic butter.
  3. Pita Bread: Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit until foamy. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until smooth. Rise 1 hour. Divide and roll into rounds. Bake at 475°F on a hot surface for 3–5 minutes until puffed.
