Sweet, savory, and sizzling hot—these steak strips cook in just 20 minutes with a sticky honey glaze that’s packed with flavor.
1 lb steak (sirloin or flank), sliced into thin strips
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
Pat steak strips dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using).
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Set aside.
Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
Place steak strips in a single layer on the pan. Sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes, then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.
Lower the heat to medium. Pour the honey-soy mixture over the steak. Toss to coat and let the glaze bubble and caramelize for 1–2 minutes, stirring often.
Once the steak is cooked to your liking and the glaze is thick, remove from heat.
Serve hot with any remaining glaze from the pan drizzled on top.
Marinate steak in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking for deeper flavor.
A cast iron grill pan gives the best sear and caramelization.
Serve with steamed veggies, roasted potatoes, or rice for a full meal.
