Ingredients

1 large head of cauliflower

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish (such as parsley or cilantro)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to help the cauliflower develop a crispy texture.

Remove the leaves and trim the stem from the cauliflower head. Carefully slice it into ¾-inch thick steaks. You should get about 2–3 full steaks, with remaining florets reserved for another recipe.

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Brush the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each cauliflower steak.

Arrange the steaks on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are not overlapping so they roast evenly.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy on the edges.

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Slice the cauliflower carefully to keep the steaks intact.

For extra crispiness, place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the oven.

You can add extra spices such as cumin, chili powder, or parmesan cheese for more flavor.

Serve with yogurt sauce, tahini dressing, or marinara for dipping.
