Ingredients

1 package Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix

1 teaspoon garlic

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 pound lump crab meat

Lemon butter, to taste

For the Lemon Butter

4 tablespoons butter, melted

12 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (adjust to taste)

Instructions

Preheat your oven according to the directions on the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix package.

In a mixing bowl, combine the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix, garlic, and Italian seasoning.

Add the required water or milk according to the package instructions and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Gently fold in the lump crab meat, keeping the pieces as intact as possible.

Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop generous portions of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake according to the biscuit mix instructions until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Meanwhile, prepare the lemon butter by melting butter and stirring in fresh lemon juice to your preferred level of tanginess.

Remove the biscuits from the oven and drizzle the lemon butter over them while they are still warm. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lump crab meat for the best flavor and texture.

Be careful not to overmix the dough so the biscuits remain light and fluffy.

You can add a little lemon zest or chopped parsley to the butter for extra flavor.

These biscuits are perfect as an appetizer, party snack, or seafood side dish.
